I heard that they never got their KERS system running so they’re down about 600 horsepower

Stay away from the FP if you say anything in favour of the Nissans, they are riled up.

Really? I thought the FPers loved the Nissan? Personally I don’t think it will do well, but it will be exciting to watch nonetheless.

Everyone needs to relax with this thing. I mean after all, its not even the final product yet. They’re basically using this year as a test session.

I dunno, every time there is a “new” design we all go nuts. Rightly so IMO. It’s great to see new advancements and seeing people take on the norm in racing. We did it with diesel, hybrids, the deltawing, and now with a new take on F+F cars. It has promise, and if you are going to unveil it at LeMans, then it better perform. This isn’t the place to showcase something that may be good later on. Do that at the beginning of the WEC season, or the end for that matter.

IMO, they should have continued development for the year, and waited till next season to run the finished car. But that being said, many of the greatest race-cars in history, especially those with new technology, were catastrophic failures there first time out. Hopefully it will be successful. If not, we learn and move on.

That’s very true. I hope they do well in at least one race in the future to show it’s possible to be the oddball and succeed.
